Burial

Earth Burial is the more popular and widely traditional type of funeral in Ireland. Your deceased loved one can be buried in a new or existing family grave. The purchase of a new grave can be processed through ourselves as we work as agents for all the city and county councils.

Depending on the Cemetery, a new single grave can take up to three adult coffin burials. Cremated remains can also be buried in these graves outside of the permitted 3 burials.

If it is your wish to pre-purchase a grave in anticipation of an impending death, please contact one of our helpful team.

Cremation

Cremation has grown increasingly popular in recent years. We have in-depth knowledge of all matters regarding Cremation.

The necessary forms and documents are readily available and are correctly processed with the family and the doctor, assuring the family of trouble free arrangements.

The Crematoria available are:

Funeral Services which include cremation can be either a simple transfer to the crematorium or may include the more standard, overnight in a residence or church followed by cremation later.

Some days later the ashes are returned to the Funeral Home and are available to be buried, scattered or retained until a later time.

Cremated remains may also be sent to us for committal in a family grave or for scattering in any part of Ireland. This may be of interest to those families who have suffered a loss in another country and
would like to return their loved one to Ireland.

We can also enhance this service with a headstone inscription and graveside service. Please contact Griffin’s for further information.
